Solved -- after a fun day exploring the historical part of York, PA. Here I am in front of the Golden Plough Tavern with my date, rather a stiff fellow.

A wonderful puzzle for nostalgia fans.
Old stuff with was new to me included 20-A, 28-D and 38-D.
Time to put The 49-A on the HiFi and get off the couch.

I’m not sure of the protocol for MUGgle Meta Monday puzzles. I just started doing them 2 months ago. This week, I got in too much of hurry and sent in the wrong answer. When I heard that it was wrong, I took a fresh look and came up with the right answer. Am I off the couch?

Nice puzzle. I submitted my answer but I will wait to announce my "off the couchness" until I hear back.

Edit, My answer was not right though I still liked it .... but with a nudge from Birdlives I got the correct answer quickly. So I guess I'm off the couch with the help of an ejector button. Thanks Birdlives

I've always counted it that way on mine.

As of this morning, we have at least 45 solvers. (I say at lest because I inevitably leave someone out. If that’s you, please let me know.)
.
Days Solvers.jpg
.
Here are your Wednesday nudges in increasing levels of nudginess.
Nudge #1
The theme words that the answer is derived from are, with one exception, placed symmetrically in the grid.
Nudge #2
Those places are the ones you’d expect
Nudge #3
There are seven of them
Nudge #4
The “days” referred to in the title are not whole days, just parts of days.
Nudge #5
Follow the end of those days, and you should find the useful letters[

Well, needed the nudge (actually the first 3 - - kinda a lock after that). Great job Jay! Officially OTC - - I made it a bit difficult to get there, but. . . . .

OTC without nudges, awaiting confirmation. Great grid and meta!

Edit: Confirmed! One less thing to worry about during my root canal this morning…
