A wonderful treat to have Evan put out two metas in a row. As usual, skillful clueing and a fun meta. If it has not become obvious, I am a big fan of his.

Thanks for the heads-up. His usual puzzles, while expertly crafted, are a little on the big and easy side for my patience, but the meta certainly adds interest.

Keep forgetting about Evan’s puzzles on my Sunday grid tour. (Blame the Giro for distracting me.)
To have it be a meta (one not requiring certain knowledge this time) is a nice bonus as I cook dinner.
Had one idea that led to the right idea - solved.

Thanks for letting us know about this one!
This morning, I downloaded the WaPo and LAT. This evening, I finally had a chance to do some puzzles. Meta first, of course. Finished the grid, saw a theme, but couldn’t figure out what to do to get a meta. Looked at the puzzle info to remind myself of the title and prompt, but the prompt wasn’t there. Oh well, I can find it here. Looked some more for the meta with no luck. Looked at the title again, and finally realized I’d been working on the LAT.
Once I actually solved the correct grid, I lucked into the meta in the first rabbit hole I tried.
