On shore via a pool noodle being dragged by my solving partner who ran the numbers correctly. I’m impressed by all of you who saw this so quickly.

Here’s an appropriately named peony for the candy party

I think I am ashore. But now I am not certain based on others’ comments about how easy this was.

Well that’s just dandy, hope you have both handy. Are you sitting on the beach getting sandy while listening to Manilow’s Mandy?
Gosh, Dr. Tom, you missed one rhyme I thought you'd include for sure!
Oh SUGAR what did I omit!

Solved.

I could say easy-peasy but I really think that's the wrong way to categorize a meta. It's more that I love candy and I love word play and that's why I found this puzzle really fun. It's my style. I got my AHA but it was mixed with 59A.

Those who "know" me, know there are a lot of common topics that I truly know almost nothing about (obviously a big handicap in puzzle solving). But, I find it interesting how certain little bits of info somehow float around in my head even though I really know absolutely nothing more about them.

Our Friday report is a little early. The speedboats have been bringing people quickly to shore. We are using speedboats as the tenders are too slow to keep up with the throngs. It must be the free candy on the shore.

We 3 on the ship and 137 on the shore.

And we welcome our newest muggle - jgholl. An experienced crossword solver but a soon to be meta addict. Welcome John

10th page won’t win any awards but I’ll take it😎

Our neighbor is a photographer and his mother was a classical pianist. He has put together a series of 6 short films combining his mother playing along with sunset shots taken from his balcony overlooking the Mediterranean in Mallorca.

Gorgeous! Thank you!! What a beautiful production. And who doesn’t love sunsets and Chopin?

On a day 57 years ago, I sat in Mrs. Pigeon's 1st-grade classroom listening to her explain multiplication. My anxiety steadily grew as classmates all around nodded in comprehension of this fell mystery. One even stayed in at recess to tell it to me again in small words. In my mind, though, it was all gas, no clutch.

Today I've done everything with 3, 4, 2, and 2 that the laws of combinatorics allow except the thing that counts. Or maybe I've got the wrong answers to a couple of the theme clues. My anxiety grows. All gas...

I feel a Monday morning palm-to-the-forehead coming.
For nudges, feel free to PM me. I won't have a clue how to help you, but you might shove me ashore.
