Hi all and welcome to the twenty-first installment of the MEOW!

Grid's a tad tougher than usual but I trust you all can manage.

The answer to this meta is something incomprehensible.

Released the feline. At least he didn't have us solve "that thing."

In honor of the 39D clue, the Jellicle is out of the bag!

That was pretty clever, and yes I learned something new also!

To those who look at this puzzle and just don't know what to do for the grid, just give it a few minutes and keep thinking/looking. As RPardoe said, try everything ("explore all potentials"). It might be what you think. Might not.. but it might be. ( :

Also a fun meta mechanism, once grid is conquered!

:handbag: :cat: Pending confirmation. After the first 30 seconds of disbelief and dismay (and like @mamae, considering scheduling a brain scan), that was fun!

EDIT: already confirmed. Thanks again Josh!
