On shore. Clever puzzle and great to see another one from Joanne. Still looking forward to the difficulty ramping up (a little!)

I spoke too soon earlier. Just realized there was a flaw in my reasoning. Back to rabbit holes.

Marion and I are definitely ashore and on the sand. For the first time in a while, I captained and she rowed. I am sure next week I'll be back with the oarlocks and she'll be leading the charge.

Luck to all..........

On shore! I'm very happy to have the weekend to catch up on some duties for the education foundation on which I serve. I think I mentioned a while ago that we have made grant money available to deserving teachers for urgent needs during the pandemic. This program is almost complete, and we have given almost $25,000 to fund many brilliant, creative, inspiring and impactful projects! Now I am writing up stories to use on social media to let everyone in the community know about these fantastic educators and their commitment to their students.

Toes in the sand!

I liked the whole meta construction.

(maybe just a little bit because I was able to solve it)

On shore!

I think. I mean, I’m dead sure about the answer, but it’s hard to see the beach through the crowd...heh! Sending a shout out to No. 26 down, fellow Tarheel and classmate!

Yep - cute one. On shore. Can’t believe I didn’t even notice the first step when I was doing it — sheesh I must be really tired! I need me an Old Fashioned. Seriously - heading for the liquor cabinet riiiight now. 😋

Addendum:
1. I was anxious about getting slapped with a Kas-5 after First-timer February;
2. Then I solved the Meta before finishing the grid...which is rare, and made me anxious about getting Pageanted;
3. If so, then it seems I’m in good company; so
4. Right: Back to fretting about next week’s Kas-5.

And yet...I keep coming back for more.

On shore. Nice to see a new constructor as well as a puzzle without training wheels.

I can't remember guest constructors making difficult puzzles, but it's probably happened before.

O.K., that's just spooky. I was all prepared to comment here about why I didn't get to the puzzle until now but... turns out that the meta answer word is in the punchline of my story. So no spoilers, but I'm on shore! I really liked this puzzle anyway :-)

On the beach! I hope I'm getting smarter, and not that the puzzles are getting easier.
