This week's contest is titled Endnotes by Mike Shenk

The answer to this week's contest is a six-letter word related to music

But the real question is did Wendy get out of her meeting on time to print the contest at 4:05 or did Mark have it printed out as she charged through the door stressed and clamoring for a glass of chardonnay?

Tune in tomorrow for the next exciting episode of Days of Our Meta Lives or is it As the Muggle World Turns.

Good luck with the grid and the meta

The site is just a web page, a meeting place, a clubhouse - it's the group that's special.

Sand between the toes. Needed help from my wife on this one. Quite a good puzzle!

I know Mike Shenk's puzzles well enough that I must have the answer, but there's a bit of confirmation that I'm missing.

Not sure if I went way past where I was supposed to, or even if I'm right, but I submitted. Toes in *some* sand...

I know what Al means. I submitted my answer, and I feel as if I'm onshore (after being adrift for most of the past four years). But I'll look at it again to find the elegance I have not yet discerned.
