Struggled this afternoon with grid. Now done and ready for a 3-down.
Isaac, a glass of that small-batch bourbon, neat, if you will.

Well, speaking of birds (weren't we?), we get a wide variety here in SE PA, as you might expect. Some of my favorites when they come by are the goldfinches. Also, due to warmer winters, our bluebirds are staying year-round.

Alas, I remain firmly ensconced on the boat. Isaac is nice, if a little boring. I've been staring at the grid, off and on, all day, and just don't see it. Gonna put it aside for tonight. Perhaps inspiration will strike in the morning.

Ashore, hoorah!! This week's puzzle gave me two achievements, and I have now leveled up:

1. In the past, I knew if I didn't get the meta right away, I was done for. I'd never get it. This week I was determined to figure it out. Two days, many rabbits, banging my head against my clipboard, and a nap brought enlightenment! I feel like a super hero.

2. This is the longest solving streak I've ever had - 10 in a row! (Now I've jinxed myself...)

Also, I must share something that I have now saved in my emergency sad-day folder. Please enjoy. 😁

Ashore. Did the grid on Thursday but nothing came to mind. Looked again this evening and there it was, though I did have to back solve one bit I had missed.

On the boat, gazing at all the shore revelers...
If not solved by AM, will ask for some nudges...

Liked this one. This could have been a tad harder yet still solvable, but I dig this version too.

I haven't seen Asta, Nick, or Nora recently either. Very suspicious.
I just watched two Thin Man movies a couple days ago. They are so perfect together... and I have a HUGE crush on Myrna Loy!

On shore. This was an all or nothing for me. Had no clue until reprinting and then it was as easy as AP math (Eye are an engineer, sew inglish was mutch moore diffacult).

Edit: Just realized AP English and AP Chemistry are both Pete Muller artworks. I await AP Math next year!

I have slept on it twice and come back to it twice and am still stuck and on the boat. Sigh. I think I have the first step, but it’s been all rabbit holes thereafter. Need a nudge from a kind soul, please! Thanks
