"Family First"
This week's MMM is entitled "Family First," by yours truly. The answer to the meta is a well-known 7-letter musical act. Feel free to PM me your answers, requests for hints, comments, etc. I will post a leader board during the week and some hints Wednesday. Solution and explanation on Sunday.

Thanks for your patience. I rushed through the clues and barely proofread them, so please forgive any errors. Also, the clues are a little...saucy? Don't know why. Probably because I was hurrying and just put down the first thing to pop into mind...it's a bit stream-of-consciousness at times.
I think that's all. I hope you enjoy!!

I just accidentally deleted a number of PMs. I remember all the names except for one. So if you have submitted and not heard back from me, please submit again. Thanks,
Brian

I've updated the clue for 42-Across. It now reads: "Beginning of an excuse I hear from my teenagers two to five times a week"
Sorry about that!

Off the couch!!! Nice. This one jumped out at me. I was sure I was right and was even going to suggest the correction.

Off the couch!
I began to chuckle with the first three clues, and continued throughout the grid work.
If you want to talk awful cars, the Renault Alliance we drove in the mid '80s would have to rank among the worst.

1980 Renault LeCar โ electrical problems from day one. It would die, and I had to wiggle the fuse box to get it started again

Very funny clues....great job BMac!
The site is just a web page, a meeting place, a clubhouse - it's the group that's special.

Awaiting confirmation. The entire puzzle was funny ! 1973 Chevrolet Vega (need I say more ?). It never ran again after 1977.

It would seem that I'm off the couch.
I thought I was still a bit stuck, but Brian's confirmation has me fully off.
Great puzzle! 44D is close to my heart.
