Thank you! Still working on getting one in the WSJ (regular puzzles, not metas). So far I'm 0-for-4 with Mike Shenk!

Well..............Marion and I are onshore!! She gets all the credit and I was the dumb stowaway. Regardless, it's a team effort for us and she's the captain this week.
Luck to all..........

ASHORE
Finally found the answer after trying different machinations off and on over the last couple of days. Will be glad to hear others' stories on Monday to see how many of them reflect mine.
Now I guess I'll go do what I was about to do when I decided to "take one more quick look at the puzzle." ---- which was to do the Saturday WSJ crossword entitled Divine Intervention thinking that might help.
In that vein, I should probably celebrate with one of these -- Those fine fellows out at St. Joseph's Abbey in Spencer MA also make a h**l of a raspberry jam, too!

Ha ha! You're not the only person who complained about that clue. For the record, that is not my clue, but the editor's. My original clue was "Where to find Vandykes." Thanks for the feedback! It is so much fun making puzzles and writing clues!

That is a WAY better clue! Either way - it was an excellent puzzle - you should be proud!

Glad to be ashore, but sorry to leave good old Isaac. Heck, the Muggles still there are having as much fun as those at the tiki bar. He’s promised not to be closing anytime soon.
As my garden is closing down for the season, these guys get big time credits for always giving spectacular late color- Amsonia Hubrechii back, Purple Dome aster and autumn foliage of Filipendula hexapetala.

Facepalm! Just got it. Ashore and so pleased! The charm of Saturday night drinks while cooking and my family losing interest in me usually brings the answer.

I have to admit,
The ship’s bar is where I sit,
Running up credits!

Ashore after a fun swim. What I took to be an oddity at first later led me in the right direction. Very nice puzzle!

Along that line, I noticed that Mike's clue for this puzzle referred to a three-word "frays".
