On shore after a leisurely ponder on the beach in Asbury Park, New Jersey.

I didn’t have the insta-solve experience enjoyed by many of my fellow muffles, but the sole rabbit hole I explored was mercifully shallow.

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend!

Made to the beach. Quick solve, and a relief after last week’s debacle.

D & D.

I've discovered that I don't like the metas that are really tough for me and I try to "work" at them which usually doesn't work well for me. I tend to solve these more intuitively. There is a point beyond which the struggle is no longer enjoyable. Occasionally when the solution eludes me and then I finally "see" it, I am truly wowed. But usually even if/when I find the solution after putting myself through tortuous methods to solve rather than rely on pure intuition, the "aha" is usually more of an exhausted "Finally. Thank G-d" than a pleasure. Anyway, this one came to me simply and I enjoyed it.

Enjoy the weekend everyone!

Glad everyone seems to be having an easy swim to shore. I, on the other hand, am just not seeing it. At least Isaac has one source for tips.

Done and trying to find a spot on the beach to relax in the sun. Sure is crowded already and looks like it will be jam packed.
If I'm around, I am willing to join the Muggle Zoom room at other times to lend a hand to those in need.

After being off-grid, it's great to come back so quickly to the Tiki Bar! Solved, on shore, and loved how it all tied together. Happy 4th weekend to all!

Nice job, Matt. Love the literary! At the Tiki Bar, sand stuck to my toes.

Happy Independence Day Weekend! Enjoying the pics sent from Muggle-spots this week.
We're at Lake George in New York State.

Isaac’s wiping down the bar as he listens to me lament about what a dolt I feel like. This seems to be a “gimme” for so many. But, I just cannot see it.

Great vacation spot. I spent a lot of time there growing up. My cousins have a camp on the east side of the lake

On the beach! That’s 3 out of the last 4, so I guess it really does get better as you go.

On shore! Finally saw what so many others found so quickly. Better late than never (at least not as late as last week when I had 10 minutes to spare), or I'll be kicking myself.

We were performing tests at the naval weapons center in Ridgecrest in 1992 and my guys said that an earthquake came through. The earth's surface looked like a rug someone shook and a bump just rolled up the valley. About 1/3 of the water was splashed out of the motel pool.

Stay safe

Isaac made me the usual last night (on the Mrs.'s insistence -- it's her birthday Monday). Actually forgot about this week's puzzle while enjoying the BBQ and fireworks. Safely at the tiki bar searching for a seat. I guess I'll stand for now.
