Grid was somewhat challenging, at least for me, but the meta was way too easy. Come on Mike, let’s make these a little more difficult.

Made it without much difficulty ...( my ancestors at 5-Across )

On shore! Agree with the comments about learning a lot and finding a strange “word.”

Fun way to clear the deck for Week 5.

On shore! Enjoyed this one a lot.. But maybe it’s because it didn’t take me three days to get it!

His grids are always tough for me. I learned a lot from this one, as others have said, and there were a few I had to verify because I was totally unfamiliar. I wouldn’t call this meta easy (maybe someday!), but I agree it’s totally get-able.

Home today a little under the weather.
Hoping the sun, sand and scenery here on shore turn it all around! 😎🏝

On shore. The grid took longer than normal for me; the meta took some trial and error -- I've done many of these and I wouldn't call it easy but it's as clever as ever. It's worth the effort.

Done and done. Went down many rabbit holes before making the right connection.
If I'm around, I am willing to join the Muggle Zoom room at other times to lend a hand to those in need.

Toes in sand! Literally, on holiday in Carmel CA. Lovely, though hardly Love Boat-ish. It’s ch-ch-ch-illy here!

Fun puzzle, though this style is becoming familiar. As in: knowing what to look for.

Make sure you go to Nepenth in Big Sur! Gorgeous view! And seventeen mile drive. (Heidi)
