Up in Smoke

Formerly known as the “Sunday Summer Substitute”, editor Cap'n Rick now takes the helm for 'Smooth Sailing Sundays'. As The Commodores sang about Sunday morning, the SSS will focus on easier metas. SSS will also support smaller grids and will mentor new constructors on request. Puzzles released each Sunday around 8am Eastern. Nudges released same day at Noon Eastern. New constructors are welcome.

Up in Smoke

Ahoy, Muggles, and welcome to this week's SSS! In early May Cap'n Rick put out the word to his crew about a concerning shortage of cargo in the S.S. SSS's hold. AJK and I did our best to quickly replenish the stock. We want to thank Cap'n Rick, our test-solver Bird Lives, and the irreplaceable Joe Ross for his tech support. Sail on, SSS!
Nudges at noon.

The meta answer is a recent movie.

Which one is Cheech?
The site is just a web page, a meeting place, a clubhouse - it's the group that's special.

Had bad insomnia and "summer eye" and got up at three am to do it. SSSolved with the easter eggs but was too tired and out of it to get the meta. Will look at it again this morning to see if I can get it.

EDIT: Ah, yes. I sort of buzzed around it last night. There it is. Almost made it too hard and got a little distracted by what was put in for the purpose of helping, but it was a fun and nice little swim.... unlike the MGWCC that's keeping me up at nights.

Feel better soon!

Word of the day for me. I never heard the term "summer eye" before but interwebs confirmed - yep, it's what it sounds like. And I have it as well from all the pollen
