When I was a child these were my favorite animal. So when I saw Emperor it was my first thought although I assumed it was wrong until I saw Chinstrap in which case I knew it had to be correct. Wish they had included Rockhopper, fairy and blue. (then *no-one* would have got them)

Haha me too. I don't know if they were my favorite but when I saw emporer and macaroni, I KNEW. And I would have got rockhopper but not the other two woozy mentioned. I just looked them up - what cuties!
On the other hand - that purple category (tho in hindsight it does make sense)

I had no idea I was in here with a bunch of zoologists. I kind of would have liked to have been an entomologist or an etymologist.

It was 1970 and 1971 that I studied these things *ridiculously*. The taxonomy has change since then. I think Fairy and Blue are not used so much any more. I love the name "rock hopper" and I love their expression. I used to joke about the clod-hopper penguin. They used to refer to the African penguin as the Jackass Penguin. I think in the 70s it was considered the same as the magellan but I could be misremembering.
