Firstly I thought the grid would do me in, but I finally finished. Then I thought, I'm never going to get the meta, until I read some forum posts. So I stared at the title and the grid for a while and bam, the answer popped right out. Pour me a Malbec please.

One of those rare ones where I finished the puzzle and saw it immediately. On the beach!

@boharr Bob - I hope that you are watching. Right in the Knick's comfort zone - down 25 at the half

Solved and ashore. Late start Thursday meant we only solved the grid; nothing jumping out on the Meta. Were out Friday; took a quick peek this morning before our ride -- still nothing and starting to fret that we'd miss out on all the beach fun everyone seems to be having. During the ride I thought "What if... ?" Turns out my what if was wrong, but it got to the right answer. Another nice construction.

Since it's lunchtime, will celebrate tonight with a bourbon cocktail with Nocino.

Happy Mother's Day!

Ashore, finally! Ingenious! Took me two or three failed rabbit holes before I finally saw it. Wow, what a puzzle!

Double IPA me!
Good luck to all for a successful solve. If you see that I'm ashore - rare occasion of late - message me if you'd like a nudge. Be sure to include your progress so I can know better how to assist.

Ashore. Nice "Ah HA!" moment.

Got a late start this week. Had we (kids and I) started on time*, I'd definitely be on page 10. Just sayin'...

Late start: vacay in East Tennessee led to us being in an earthquake this morning! We will update if we make it to shore.

Ashore. It felt like I was going to be lost at sea on this one. I came to the forum to update my status and saw everyone was at the beach party. I went back to the bar for a drink and then it came to me without even looking. 🤦‍♂️

The nice thing about an early solve is you have the rest of the weekend to work on mugmanifestation. I keep thinking if I *believe*, the email will appear on Monday!

I always enjoy reading your haiku, but this one has given me a heck of an earworm!
