And I'm not...well, you know!

Early post today due to Matt's meta coming out tomorrow - wish us all luck on cracking that Level 5! (This is not that level, I promise.)

---

Puzzle #124 is still live, so reveal will be on that post when the deadline finishes!

---

I think Matt said once that "Creature Feature" is one of his most common crossword titles of all time. Well, here's one more. It was planned to be a Level 1, but I think 1.5 is where it'll end up.

---

125. Creature Feature

The answer to the meta is a 9-letter creature.

---

Deadline is Saturday, February 8 at 1 pm ET.

Good luck, and may all your solves be beautiful!

Mikey G

Pun and done!
Check out "The MOAT Mini Pack of Marching Bands" here. US$5 gets you 7 Marching Bands which, hard enough on their own, now contain metas too. And once again there's a mega-meta! :D

Yeah.... never would have gotten it in a million years had it not been for a whack by Kay.

"All I've got is this thing and that thing and they don't point to an animal" "What about the animal that is all the things that that points to?" "But thats only that thing and this thing and no animal". "But you have that and this thing and you want an animal" "Oh, for the love of gob...."

Good idea to issue early with the Ariadne and Playbill coming out tomorrow as well.
The site is just a web page, a meeting place, a clubhouse - it's the group that's special.

Early nudges!

1. The title won't really do much here, but we know we're dealing with animals.

2. There are four symmetrical entries that will help in one way...

3. ...and three other symmetrical entries that will help in another!

Pun and done! Should not have needed the nudges - we already had all we needed and then some. But the “then some” did us in… But great aha! Fun one, Mikey!

Pun and done. Thanks for the puzzle!

I used the nudges, but I'd already seen #1 & #2. While I was trying to figure out #3 I got the meta answer instead. It was like I had some kind of mental block that kept me from seeing it, so I won't offer an opinion on the difficulty level.
