On shore.

The old man showed the kids how these metas are done! (Well, I found it pretty quickly and they didn't want to spend the time figuring it out.)

And no discord occurred (or was involved in solving).

Officially on the boat and having a cocktail. Would appreciate a nudge from anyone who’s onshore.
Always happy to provide a nudge if I’m ashore.

Floating on the briny. Guess I'll go get a Cabernet. It worked last week . . . .

On the beach! It was a traditional Friday evening quick-look before quiet time, prospecting for tidbits my brain could chew on while I slept. (This often works quite well.) But suddenly . . . Oh My!

On the ship.
No shore in sight.
A shorebird mocks me.

Finished the interesting grid and had an idea I shared with Isaac. "Pour you another?" he asked. "At least" I say dejectedly.
Good luck to all for a successful solve. If you see that I'm ashore - rare occasion of late - message me if you'd like a nudge. Be sure to include your progress so I can know better how to assist.

On the ship with many ideas, but no clear path to shore just yet. Looking for a light nudge if anyone is willing - or at least looking for someone to share my ideas with

On the ship with the rest of y'all, but all the barstools are taken.
I don't have anything clever to say, but if I did, it would go here.

Sneaky puzzle with, as others have noted, at least two thoroughly defensible answers.

I will be SHOCKED if the officials do not honor either answer.

But happy to have dragged myself to shore, and THRILLED not to be spending my entire weekend on this mishegas.

Anyone else working on the MIT Mystery Hunt? Our son was in the winning team two years ago.

Ashore and submitted what seemed like the obvious answer, only to log in and find that there might be another?!?!?

It's pleasant having so much company aboard for a change. Laughter, the tinkle of ice, the murmer of conversation. Getting a session IPA from Isaac this morning, 'cause I think it's gonna be a while. With grandkids en route, meta will take a back seat till Sunday night.
For nudges, feel free to PM me. I won't have a clue how to help you, but you might shove me ashore.
