Body Double

Formerly known as the “Sunday Summer Substitute”, editor Cap'n Rick now takes the helm for 'Smooth Sailing Sundays'. As The Commodores sang about Sunday morning, the SSS will focus on easier metas. SSS will also support smaller grids and will mentor new constructors on request. Puzzles released each Sunday around 8am Eastern. Nudges released same day at Noon Eastern. New constructors are welcome.

SSSolved without nudges.
Now back to my cluttered to-do list...
Bespoke nudges available upon request (if I'm on shore, off the couch, in the castle, petting an un-bagged cat, ...).
Let me know how small or large a hint you want, or hit me with a specific question(s).

Wow, I would have SWORN that I posted the nudges for this puzzle in next message, because I posted the Crosshare ones at the same time, but they do not appear to be there? Maybe I never submitted, my apologies:

NUDGES:

The theme answers are pretty clear from their length and silliness.

Reading through them, and taking the Title into account, does anything pop out at you?

Actually do TWO things pop out at you?

Did you see that all of the theme answers were the same length, might that narrow down the choices for the last member of the group?

Think University of Florida football 2005-2010

This puzzle was popular, perhaps because people got it full of the Holiday spirit, perhaps because it was, overall, fairly easy to spot the Themers with the long goofy answers. The one criticism I did get was that it was the answer was, though 11 letters and two body parts like the others, a three and a FOUR letter part as opposed to two three letter parts.

There is a reason for that, the remaining three letter body parts, once you eliminate one I was not going to use because I was afraid I’d offend, were JAW and GUM. I thought of LEGUME but of course that has two body parts of its own and GUMBALL, GUMMIES or DADGUM were just too easy. So I took it on the CHIN. Besides, truth be known, I LIKED the idea of URCHIN MEYER.

Other than that, everything went smoothly and I got 58 solvers!!!!!

Dr, thanks. If people aren’t familiar with Urban Meyer, he had one of the shortest and most infamous coaching tenures in the NFL.

If you like Rows Gardens check out my mini ones here: viewforum.php?f=41. Nudges are free on the off chance I’ve solved the meta.
