Body Double

Formerly known as the “Sunday Summer Substitute”, editor Cap'n Rick now takes the helm for 'Smooth Sailing Sundays'. As The Commodores sang about Sunday morning, the SSS will focus on easier metas. SSS will also support smaller grids and will mentor new constructors on request. Puzzles released each Sunday around 8am Eastern. Nudges released same day at Noon Eastern. New constructors are welcome.

Body Double

Well this puzzle was actually supposed to be for LAST Sunday and I got confused, well probably more confused. I knew I had a puzzle for 12/29 but forgot I had one for 12/1 as well and when the good Captain sent me a "hey you're up!" message I figured I got it wrong and I was the start of the month, not the end (or both).

At any rate I had "Done for Emphasis" ready for the 29th and pushed it to the 1st. Then I saw my calendar and realized I had this one for the 1st. No big deal, neither were date sensitive.

This puzzle should be:
Mill Pond
֎Gentle Ripple (water not the wine)
A Bit Choppy
Surfin' USA
Perfect Storm

It is a kind we have seen before where you must find two entries that, together, would fit the theme, but you guys are good, this should be smooth sailing. There are nudges with it and of course I am only a PM away. Thanks to @Cap'n Rick and @boharr who tested the puzzle, and to all of you who will spend some time this Sunday with me.

Sincere Apologies! I thought I had posted the nudges in the message following the puzzle but it is not there. Perhaps I forgot to submit because I posted them in Crosahre at the same time. ANyway, here they are (and are repeated later in case anyone doesn't notice them here:

NUDGES:

The theme answers are pretty clear from their length and silliness.

Reading through them, and taking the Title into account, does anything pop out at you?

Actually do TWO things pop out at you?

Did you see that all of the theme answers were the same length, might that narrow down the choices for the last member of the group?

NUDGES!I am always willing to give nudges IF ASKED; metas should be about fun, not frustration. PM me what you have done so far, because often you are closer than you think, and I will try to help you move along.

Sssolved! Fun one, DrTom!! :D
Check out "The MOAT Mini Pack of Marching Bands" here. US$5 gets you 7 Marching Bands which, hard enough on their own, now contain metas too. And once again there's a mega-meta! :D
