Couch is vacated! :D Now back to the Gaffney... :?
Check out "The MOAT Mini Pack of Marching Bands" here. US$5 gets you 7 Marching Bands which, hard enough on their own, now contain metas too. And once again there's a mega-meta! :D

Couch is empty, but there’s a dent in my forehead from when I finally saw what was right in front of me.

Good one!
If you want help with a meta, feel free to PM me. The more specific you are about what you have and what you want, the more likely I can help without spoiling.

(And if I help you win a mug, I’ll be especially delighted.)

I don't have anything clever to say, but if I did, it would go here.

Saw what I needed to see right away, but didn't know how to use it. Then it clicked. Thanks, Peter!

OTC. Tough grid, but I did not have to phone a friend (people who have been on Millionaire will recognize the allusion). Now if only I can find my latchkey.

Very clever and well executed. Even took me a beat to remember the answer (though I tested it fairly recently ). Thanks. :)

OTC. I had a clever response until I realized it might be a spoiler. Fun puzzle.
