MEOW #185: Pop Culture

A weekly meta crossword on the forum started by member Josh (aka madhatter5). These puzzles are often very creative with solving mechanisms out of the norm and skewing towards the more challenging. Puzzles are posted every Wednesday, and the solution appears the following Tuesday.

MEOW #185: Pop Culture

Pop Culture Banner.jpg
(Good morning, all! Wendy here, posting for Dr. Tom.)

This should be a kitten at the very best. It is more of a way for me to tell bad jokes than to display any meta creativity, but given that it will soon be Father's Day, I just had to do it!!!

KITTEN

Calico

Persian

Puma

Lion

Thanks to my testers Cap'n Rick and Whimsy, it was so long ago they probably don't even remember (or are trying to forget!)

Wendy is doing me a big favor and both posting and handling the solver list while I am away from an internet connection or at least my computer.

Kitten is free and frolicking about the place.
I don't have anything clever to say, but if I did, it would go here.

Kitten's free! Plenty of fun to be had here, as we've come to expect from a punster like DrTom. :D
Check out "The MOAT Mini Pack of Marching Bands" here. US$5 gets you 7 Marching Bands which, hard enough on their own, now contain metas too. And once again there's a mega-meta! :D

I thought about doing a Lion version but it gave me great paws because I could not come up with the mane puns I needed so I veldt it was a lost cause. Besides I was afraid people would miss the Simbalism….

Cat has been debagged and is shaking his head at all the puns. Cats apparently do not appreciate Dad jokes. Thanks for the puzzle, Dr. Tom!

Cats out the door to get away from Dad’s jokes. (Secretly, I love them. But don’t tell Dad.)

The kitty has vamoosed!

Dad jokes are good, but what I like even better? The Jungle Cruise at Disney. I’m usually the only passenger laughing.

I know this isn't the puzzle to post what one is drinking, but today we're leaning into both the good doctor's cruciverbal and mixology skills, and taking his cacciavite out for a spin... cheers all!
