Though we're now firmly on the shore,
It almost wasn't meant to be:
For seven minutes, maybe more,
I feared we'd both be lost at sea.

Team Canuck ashore. Must be Juno Beach.

We'll have Spitfire. Make it a flight.
For nudges, feel free to PM me. I won't have a clue how to help you, but you might shove me ashore.

Love this one - on shore with a smile. Strongbow cider out and cracked and getting ready for Euro 2024 next Friday. ⚽️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Cheers!

Well, the first thing that I was absolutely totally sure had to be relevant didn't end up having anything to do with the solution, and I just now figured out that it was actually just my mistake in filling the grid.

The second idea I had also didn't work, but seems like there might be a meta in it someday.

The third time was the charm, and I'm now joining the shore party.

Solved on paper, as that's always my first choice for the WSJ contest. I take it there was a problem with the website? Seems OK now.
If you want help with a meta, feel free to PM me. The more specific you are about what you have and what you want, the more likely I can help without spoiling.

(And if I help you win a mug, I’ll be especially delighted.)

On the beach. Quick one for once. Old fashioned later!
Check out "The MOAT Mini Pack of Marching Bands" here. US$5 gets you 7 Marching Bands which, hard enough on their own, now contain metas too. And once again there's a mega-meta! :D

I haven’t got it yet myself, just finished the grid, but you are so right.
It's the opposite for me. I just get more frustrated - "why can't I see it then" - which doesn't help me solve anything. Time to step away for a bit (which is easy since I'm at work).

Solved this afternoon after leaving the shore of Mackinaw Island. Cool place!
The site is just a web page, a meeting place, a clubhouse - it's the group that's special.

Ashore. If you’re looking for another puzzle to do, check out Five for Fighting by Abide. It’s last week’s Muggle Meta Monday. Good one
If I’ve solved and you need a nudge, you can PM me. Happy to pay it forward. ;)
