Serenity Now
May 2023 marked the publication of my first meta crossword puzzle, "Postcards from the Edge," the answer to which was my vacation destination, OUTER BANKS. Now that May has rolled around again, @Abide suggested that I create a "first anniversary" puzzle. Alas, @ajk had just constructed a puzzle using the theme of "paper," the traditional first anniversary present, so the puzzle I ended up creating has a definite, but more subtle, link to my first one.
This year has been full of puzzle fun and, I hope, a lot of improvement as well, thanks to the patient help of Peter, Alan, @Cap'n Rick, @Joe Ross, and more of my dear Muggle friends than I have room to mention. What an awesome community this is!

Off the couch. Great aha moment!
Check out "The MOAT MEOW Mashup Pack" here. US$10 for 14 metas that don't always abide by the "rules" of the game: asymmetry, 2-letter words, uncrossed letters, who knows. And this time there's a mega-meta!

Nicely done Wendy. Took me a minute but got there.
NUDGES!I am always willing to give nudges where needed; metas should be about fun, not frustration. Send me what you have done so far because often you are closer than you think!

God grant me the serenity to stay on the couch when I open the puzzle, the bandwidth to figure out the mechanism, and the wisdom to know that Wendy Walker's puzzles are always fun.

The week is off to a great start! OTC, OTC. (Off the couch; on the computer…. In other words, back to work!)
