Retaliations: Never Forget... and Take a little off the Sides... spins

Musings while I was stuck on difficult metas

Never Forget.... and never mind

(17x17)

The answer to this meta is a word that help you organize your thoughts

Note: The original meta (https://crosshare.org/crosswords/SyRcvO ... never-mind) had a fatal flaw. I've thought I had fixed it with this one https://crosshare.org/crosswords/srE1RL ... never-mind but I just made another fatal flaw.

But the *THIRD* one should be good: https://crosshare.org/crosswords/Pf384m ... never-mind

Take a Little Off the Sides

(8 x 8)

The answer to this meta is a four letter word woozy needs when he's frustrated and taking a meta too seriously

I whipped this one out really quickly as a sort of joke. It should be fun and quick.

Funny story. I was all set to enter Par for the course for the CrossHare midi contest for April but I mistakenly thought midi meant 7x 7 and not 11 x 11. Oops. Well.... Here's a complex but **small** meta on the subject of golf.

Solved!

Though still unsure of one thing, which I’ve noted in the Crosshare comments.

Terrific puzzle!

OH SCROD!!!!

The first one (and I was *soo* proud of it) has an error in it. In playing and fussing and trying to get a good balance of good and common words rather than weird and awkard ones and trying one thing after another. I forgot one entry was key to the meta and needed to be off limits for any future editing.

So a key entry for the meta has had two of its letters changed. I'll leave that as a nudge for solving the first one. A key component has been changed by exactly two letters.

(Now, I'm going to curse and bang my head against the wall.

EDIT: A patch has been released: https://crosshare.org/crosswords/srE1RL ... never-mind

Error aside, this was really a terrific meta and highly recommended to any folks out there. Kudos, woozy!

Here's a fixed version of the meta. Call it a patch:

I love the big puzzle — so cool — and I’m happy to see the one key entry fixed.

But in the second one I fleabagged *another* key entry.

This *THIRD* one should be good though. https://crosshare.org/crosswords/Pf384m ... never-mind

Started with the baby step --
Will tackle the big brother soon.

Big brother says "uncle."
That was some nifty puzzle, woozy!
Thanks for both.
