Episode #434: Sounds Like Fun ... At First

Post by bcimmet »

It's been a minute, but Fill Me In has a new contest puzzle! It was constructed by Shannon Rapp and Will Eisenberg, and is titled "Sounds Like Fun ... At First." Deadline is Sunday, March 31. If you figure out the answer (and if you listen to the podcast to obtain the password!), please submit to fmi@bemoresmarter.com, and we'll pick a winner at random from those correct solutions.

Since we haven't done this in a bit, I don't have a sense of the bananas. When I solved a test run of it a while back, it was maybe a 3.4 bananas for me, but YMMV.

The crossword can be downloaded from here. You're welcome to solve and talk about the puzzle -- but if you want to be eligible for a prize, you have to listen to the podcast for this week's password. The podcast can be found on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Podcasts, our own website, or wherever you collect your podcasts.

I have an idea regarding what's going on with this puzzle, but I'm finding it tricky to bring into land. :?
Check out "The MOAT MEOW Mashup Pack" here. US$10 for 14 metas that don't always abide by the "rules" of the game: asymmetry, 2-letter words, uncrossed letters, who knows. And this time there's a mega-meta!

And the winner was … @Meg ! Woo hoo!
If you want help with a meta, feel free to PM me. The more specific you are about what you have and what you want, the more likely I can help without spoiling.

(And if I help you win a mug, I’ll be especially delighted.)
