On shore! Thanks Zoom crew.
Oakland busted my bracket and I'm sure many others.
Jack Gohlke who? With a name like that, he could be the answer to a meta prompt "famous basketball player".

Fantastic Fun Group on the Zoom today! I hated to see it end. It went on for an hour and 15 minutes, which may be a record and we had 75 participants at last count. Have a great weekend everyone!

We are always happy to get to know other muggles and help in any way! PM's are always welcome. The next best thing to winning a mug is helping a fellow muggle win a mug!

Thanks to the Zoom Room, I was able to work my way to shore. Fun call, troubling puzzle this week... But since I'm here, I might as well wet my whistle with a Guinness. Might as well make it a half and half with a Harp. Cheers all! Happy Friday
If you see me on the beach, feel free to pm for a nudge. After all the help I’ve got, I am happy to send it forward when I can!

Ashore with assistance from the Zoom meeting. Had to have the volume down but the chat comments helped me find the solve. I had seen some of what was needed but would not have gotten this one. 2024 has been a tough year for WSJ metas for me!

Ashore!

Solved with the kids. Daughter saw it first. I had noticed something right from the start, but didn't know what to do with it. Eventually figured out why what I noticed was important.

Now to clear my mind of all things related to this puzzle to make space for the MGWCC week 4 dropping tomorrow. (Trying to solve two at once can lead to some odd A HA! moments.) But how to do that? Bourbon drink? Gin drink? ......Both?

Wow! Sorry I missed it!

And with that many people manning the oars, you could have powered the Love Boat right onto the beach and through the tiki bar!

On the beach! Will celebrate later with something yummy... ;-)
Check out "The MOAT MEOW Mashup Pack" here. US$10 for 14 metas that don't always abide by the "rules" of the game: asymmetry, 2-letter words, uncrossed letters, who knows. And this time there's a mega-meta!

Finally ashore... took several looks and some ship4u kindness. When I finally spotted it, I said "Oh, no!" so forcefully my wife asked me what was wrong...
