With yesterday's meta, this makes two incredible constructions by Patrick Berry back to back (which is how parts of his puzzles work anyway). I can't imagine how anyone could construct a puzzle like this with just one answer let alone two different answers using the same letters.

Great puzzle! Thankful I get to experience the brilliance of Patrick Berry even though he stumped me on the last step of the meta this week.

Amazing puzzle. For a second there I thought PB had made a very common spelling mistake -- but of course he hadn't. What was I thinking!?
Good luck, fellow Muggles!

Yes, I was too, until I reread the instructions. For some reason I got stuck on the 1st word of 2 Across.Wendy Walker wrote: ↑Sat Nov 11, 2023 2:40 pm Amazing puzzle. For a second there I thought PB had made a very common spelling mistake -- but of course he hadn't. What was I thinking!?
I agree with all of the other comments, PB does know how to construct a puzzle!

I loved this puzzle! I am absolutely amazed that someone could pull this off… it seems like a special kind of genius to me. To get the rows and spirals to work out would be hard enough (even WITH skipping a few letters in the spirals) .. but to get those skipped letters to spell something BOTH across and down??? Salute!!!
The other Wendy.
