Finally got it. I was making it more difficult than necessary. I'm confident now that I'm on the right beach.

I know we all fear a PAGEANT and it makes me gun shy. The answer I have fits I just don’t feel that click.
Can someone explain the "PAGEANT" references for a newbie? I am guessing this must have been a famous Rabbit Hole? Curious minds want to know! :D
Thanks,
Steve
There’s a good explanation here:

AAAAHH! I see! Not a rabbit hole so much as another level to discover and delve into!
Thanks for the reference.

Isaac, you're a pal, and I'm starting to miss you. But I just tied my longest win streak, so as sure as pride goeth before destruction, you'll see me a week from now in my usual stool.

Ashore. I'll have G&T, but not till two bells in the dog watch.
For nudges, feel free to PM me. I won't have a clue how to help you, but you might shove me ashore.

Good Friday morning muggles

There is definitely a lot of fence sitting going on today. I have assumed that all those who have an answer but have indecision will sooner or later declare themselves on shore. So I saved both of us time and declared you on shore.

As a result we have 3 on the ship with Isaac and 133 on the the shore.

Don't forget the 4:30 ET zoom call to either revel in our brilliance, cry in our beer or lobby that our answer was good enough.

Got out of the habit of doing these a few years ago. Started up last week and now two in a row, at least I think I'm ashore this week.

The WSJCC is a great distraction while Mr. Hidden is driving (in torrential rain) so we can visit with our granddaughter! I agree that the grid was harder than the meta and have some of the same hesitations as others have mentioned. But I’m submitting nevertheless! We’ll be at our destination in 15 minutes and now I have the whole weekend to enjoy with my favorite 4-year old. (Granddaughter called just a little while ago to see how much longer until we arrive. She informed me that she was ready to play and to hurry up and get there!)

Ashore, and although there is the concern that others have mentioned there really is a defensible single answer. That said, I completely booted last week's because of the same logic so....

Anyway I'll claim the shore for now, but be ready to put back to sea if I am wrong again.
NUDGES!I am always willing to give nudges IF ASKED; metas should be about fun, not frustration. PM me what you have done so far, because often you are closer than you think, and I will try to help you move along.

I concur with the good doctor… summed to be almost too REDACTED but I’ll claim the shore for now. Really tough to get a foothold in the grid, harder than most MG puzzles, but that’s not a complaint.
If you like Rows Gardens check out my mini ones here: viewforum.php?f=41. Nudges are free on the off chance I’ve solved the meta.

I so want to curl up with a good book (and my binoculars) on the shores of your pond! Such a lovely setting.
