I got the final step and made it ashore after remembering this is a Gaffney puzzle. Very clever.

Step 1, step 2, step 3, stumped … then oh snap!

I had this from the beginning and managed to flummox myself.

Phew! Solved. 100%.

Well as long as you were a consenting adult....

Ashore. Not completely delighted with the answer, but that has more to do with how I got there.

I am ashore with the crowd. This one was fairly straightforward, but I was missing the final step. I just looked at the puzzle again and found the answer.

Ashore. Finally sat down to look at the finished grid from Thursday. Quick solve after that. I liked this one; probably because I could solve it.

Finally ashore after a course correction from the Zoom room. I've made this mistake before.....putting restrictions on the metanism that aren't there because the first thing I find isn't the pattern for all the other things I need to find....(sigh)

Good morning muggles. The tender drivers have been very busy bringing both muggles and libations to the shore to keep the 174 muggles there happy. Meanwhile Isaac is giving the 4 muggles in the ship's bar his normal sage advice.

Good luck to all and to our Cincinati and Louisville muggles, you should have come to Fenway. Weather is sunny and perfect for football and the score is 7-7.

Kris Zacharias wrote: Fri Dec 16, 2022 1:53 pm On shore. This is an example of puzzles that, if one has been doing them a long time, can be more or less easily solved. I have been participating in the crossword contest from almost the beginning and once I saw the first step, the rest came fairly easily. As a newcomer I doubt if I would have been able to solve it. It's taken a lot of practice!
Agree. My frustration level has lowered considerably with the extra practice I get from the Monday Muggle Meta. (This week’s MMM is another excellent one.) There are also nudges to help you along if needed. Kudos to the designers of these.
