That one foot/ yard short right field fly ball by Judge would have been a homer in exactly one major league ballpark:

Maybe he should have borrowed one of Altuve's buzzers ... or asterisks.Scoopdave wrote: Fri Oct 21, 2022 12:56 pm That one foot/ yard short right field fly ball by Judge would have been a homer in exactly one major league ballpark:

Good afternoon muggles.
I wonder if I can get workman's comp for injuries sustained typing SHORE so many times - 185 as of now with more to come.
and these are the contests that records are made of. The current record is 290 on the shore
First welcome our newest muggles - Sleepy, ScoopDave and NaplesGuy always great to increase the size of the clan
Next, go look at @adajeo posting at #105. Then scroll through and check out the subsequent comments.
And for @Guffman and @The XWord Rabbit I received a note from Isaac that he has a good supply of carrot juice in the ship's bar and he needs company
And I don't know how they do it. Whether there is a crowd or no one, @Beth Tyrpin and @BethA land on the board almost at the same time. Postings #36 and #38 at 4:26 and 4:28.
Now back to taking apart my wheelbarrow as the new handles are arriving tomorrow.

Getting ready for a physical trip to the shore (Corolla, NC) and didn't have time to get to it until this afternoon. Not as quick on the uptake as some of y'all, but a fairly easy swim!
BTW, directly in front of our beach house are the remnants of the wreck of the Metropolis, which broke up in January 1878. It's a tragic and sordid story (http://www.ncgenweb.us/currituck/obits/metro.html). Apparently the wreckage was completely buried under the sand until a few years ago.
