I saw something (almost) right away and things were going great... moving moving moving... this is it; the solution is just around the corner... A-a-and... no, it's not. Now, do I start fresh or continue digging?

Or, in my case, keep floundering.

I'll take a break from it for a while.

Ooooh pretty sure I have it! Almost makes up for Gaffney Weekend!

(Don't get me wrong...that was a good Gaffney puzzle! I take all the blame for my weekend.)

I'm not there either, Al, but your (and my, I'm guessing) rabbit hole must lead to somewhere. TTYL

A clear step one and then I hit a wall. Thick wall. Ugh.

At least the grid wasn't too bad since, by chance, I did happen to know some of the more obscure answers. But I don't even see a step one.

I'm confused. I thought Off The Couch is used for the Muggle Meta Monday puzzles?

I don't think we have a catchphrase for PGW's. I'm always confused by the fact that Off and On both start with O...

I’ve used the wrong metaphor. Sorry. Do we have an agreed-upon expression for the PGW? When I was a pre-COVID ESL teacher, if I made a mistake, I used to slap the back of my hand and say "Bad teacher! Bad teacher!". Cracked up my students every time.

How about "I have escaped from the nine Circles of Hell" or "I have recovered my firstborn from the baby-eating goblin in the middle of the Labyrinth" or "Successfully climbed Mount Everest with my eyes closed?"

Just kidding. I actually love his puzzles. But I do feel the greatest sense of accomplishment from them.

Off the couch with a nudge. Not my favorite PGW puzzle, but it was definitely interesting.

Outstanding meta... I can't even imagine the mind that would think this could work, and then make it work.

Got it, though I needed a couple of nudges. I admire this puzzle’s virtuosity (right word?), but somehow I didn’t enjoy the solving as much as I did with other PGWCCs. Could just be me.
