#677 - “Lofty Aspirations”
MGWCC #677 - “Lofty Aspirations”
This week’s 12-letter answer describes where some creatures can go and others cannot.
Solve well, and be not led astray by words intended to deceive.
NOTE: Due to the late publication, the deadline for this puzzle is Wednesday, May 26th at noon ET.

I have an answer, but it isn’t as elegant as usual for Matt (unless I am missing something). If it isn’t right, it should be an acceptable answer.
Need to think about this some more. Plenty of time to submit.

I'm beamed up. I suspect I know what ky-mike's hangup is, as I stumbled at the last step also, but I eventually figured out how to make it all make sense. I found this one to be a bit easier than last week's.

Well, I have the first step. I will likely stare at it and try all kinds of nonsense before Wednesday. If I were a betting man, I'd bet against me.
I hope "don't post on the first page unless you've solved rule" doesn't apply to Matt's puzzles because I haven't. I'm hoping for post-enlightenment.

Happy to give nudges. If you notice I've solved, please tell me about avenues you've explored so I can nudge you in the right direction and not off a cliff.

Beam me up!
Now nervously awaiting confirmation ...
EDIT: On the board! That’s 100 straight MGWCCs for me — though I’m sure as many as 30 or 35 of them have been group solves.

Thanks! Though as I just noted above in an EDIT, I’m guessing that at least 20, probably 25, and possibly 30 or 35 have been group solves. So I shouldn’t boast.

No, it doesn't; only page 1 for the WSJ puzzle. Wendy has spoken.
Good luck, fellow Muggles!

Requesting beam up. Was hoping the mechanism was going to be slightly different than it ended up being, but that probably would have been a very tough implementation.
Cool puzzle.
Congrats @docison on the fast solve!
And congrats @ChrisKochmanski on 100 straight solves! That's quite the accomplishment!!
