What's the rush? Safely across the finish line at 152nd.

I prefer to think I am saving my energy for the harder puzzles to come.
Why sprint on the qualifying heats before the finals at a track meet?

Edit...and continued that casual approach by being the first page two boy here at Muggles!

It seems nobody has written a song about 177...
But it has been a very long time since my streak has been at 2 after a week 1! (I'm still on cloud nine in case you didn't notice)

I never had time to look at last week’s puzzle. When I saw the write up today i was glad i hadn’t; I would have wasted my weekend.

This week one was a slight bit easier.

Beam me up!

Would have been sooner if not for my eye exam. All good there. Funny thing, though, the optometrist revealed to me that he's blind in one eye!

Parts of the grid seemed more challenging to me than a typical week one, but that’s OK. I’ve had my electrons fired into the sky.

Edit: Found one, good song too!

Great one! I'm an Elton fan, so it was cool to spin this nugget (I think in honor of the year in which he and Taupin met and began writing).

Finished and submitted. Did not get to this until a half hour ago. That delay cost me about 400 places.

Beam up confirmed at 427. According to the Urban Dictionary, that is Happy Hour and the drinks are on me. So I guess Jim Beam for (nearly) everyone this week?
