It took a few minutes but I achieved a nice week 2 aha moment... Great puzzle (and karaoke song!)

Solved and submitted!
Wonderful puzzle over Saturday morning coffee. Super fun and different (so far for me) meta.
Fortunately, I’m old enough to remember the song well

Solved and submitted. Easier than other MG metas I have done. I am also old enough to remember the hit.

I'm so old that I forgot that I remembered it.

Could be a sign of Alzheimer's - I'm 8 years older than you.

This feels like it should be obvious, but I am stumped. And I am definitely the right vintage, so I've got no excuse there.

Me too. I have an idea but it’s not 100% and a bunch of other ideas have been dead ends so far. Frustrating

TMart wrote: Fri Feb 12, 2021 6:05 pm Interesting meta. I always found this song a little strange - didn't know it was a number 1 hit. And now it's stuck in my head.

Years ago, my younger brother discovered (from a mischievous sibling) the name of a song* I loathe. Ever since then, he often starts singing or humming the melody when we are together just in order to make my skin crawl.

Now Matt has done the same thing with another song I feel the same way about and who knows how long this one will remain stuck in my brain — as it is now.

Argh!

It did not immediately come to me, and I kept repeating the same things over and over and somehow, not sure how, it just clicked and I was like, "Oh...okay. That was pretty good." Good luck!!

Oooooh, I get it now! That was fun. I went to high school in the 80s, so I definitely hate-loved that song.
Happy to give nudges. If you notice I've solved, please tell me about avenues you've explored so I can nudge you in the right direction and not off a cliff.

I could use a nudge. I see something but not positive if i'm in the right rabbit hole.

Update, thanks to a nudge think I have the answer. Good one.

Beamed up.

Beam me up! That was a cute one. Did anyone understand Matt's wording about secondary, tertiary, and quaternary things causing the delay? I looked closely but I didn't understand what he meant.

I think you can see the top of a kid's head to Ada's left, and a cat in the distance -- one of their two, I guess.
