Beam me up!

So do you think Matt had this one prepared ahead of time, ready to send out whenever baby Name Redacted was born? Or was he sitting in the hospital room this morning with pen and paper (OK, laptop) in hand, writing clues in between cooing over his new daughter?

Congratulations!

Beam me up! (Leaderboard understandably pending.) What a great surprise! I was amused by Matt's phrasing:

"Early post this week, because some things arrive at unpredictable times..."

since even if the baby was born at her exact ETD(elivery), "unpredictable" is still a very accurate description of these times :-)

Also, I'm a little curious about the timing was supposed to work: If Matt had a Week 1-ish meta-slash-birth-announcement ready to go, what would have happened if she didn't arrive until Week 3? Babies can be stubborn that way!

Anyway, delightful meta and news; congrats to the Gaffney family!

Laura, they doubtless had several names ready to go for any eventuality.

[Name Redacted] may be the youngest person ever to be honored in a puzzle.

If the next three puzzles all have answers that are female names, we'll know why :)

Just saw the puzzle came out about 20 minutes ago and have had a smile on my face ever since. What great news and to think he's able to churn out (IMO) world-class puzzles all the while is nothing short of amazing to me.

Congratulations Matt and Kristin! Praying all are healthy happy and safe.

And beam me up. Streak at 1. Hopefully I can get past 3 this month.

I know that the numbers (in this case 6:53) must be a key to the meta -- they always are -- but I just can't figure out how. ;)

Congratulations !

This may be the teensiest of spoilers because it is NOT this weekโ€™s answer...
I wonder if they considered Daphne?

I'm just happy for the kid's sake she's a girl as a baby boy obviously would have been named Lil Zane. Someday I have to check if that is a real rapper or merely a fight club-esque apparition of Matt's mind. Pretty sure I've got it but like a comment above, not a big *click* on this one. I think I can let it pass. :) congrats!

Yup! Beamed!
