Even when they're obvious, I like the phrases Matt comes up with for the long entries.
Agree. Like names for emo bands.
I told Matt that 24A is the name of my folk music band!

Haha. Same. I'm #14.
Happy to give nudges. If you notice I've solved, please tell me about avenues you've explored so I can nudge you in the right direction and not off a cliff.

Well, at least in my insulated world of METApossibilities this is looking to be a good year. I've gotten the WSJCC, the MMM and several other assorted Metas since the beginning of the year and even though I know this one was a bit of a gift (though not one I saw until this AM because I finally did what I should have when looking at it) I'm delighted. Of course now I will have no reason not to do yard work. I did have a few minutes during the solve that I thought, "Huh, can Matt be right?", but of course in the end it was a "it's not you it's me" moment. I did notice that the top 10 (one of which is our own Al Sisti) were all 1 minute apart from 12 noon! I can see why this might be gettable quickly for an experienced METAmaster, but 1 minute from GET-to-SOLVE-to-SUBMIT - WOW. Even if I had done mine immediately (since I got the file @ 12:03) the best I could possibly have been is 4 or 5! And if that ever happens you'll read about it here at "Wait, Wait, don't nudge me!"

So though I'll never be a minute man (and I can just feel the comments queuing up) for this the second META of 2021:

Took a fresh look this morning and had the classic rush when a illumination-bolt struck the page. Or rather, a transporter beam...

This seems too easy for a week 2. But with almost 600 solvers and no misses, I guess there is no next step. And Matt did say this was originally meant for last week.

I think Matt is easing us into 2021. I'm okay with that.

Energize.

ON THE BORAD! Woo Hoo! I'm #1 - well OKAY, I suppose it is more correct to say I am #521, but I was playing my cards right and just got the deck out of there....
