Beamed. Minor twitchiness that 11A says "sang" instead of "wrote"...

I forgot that today was Friday and I was wondering what puzzles I could do today. First, I signed up for Jangler’s puzzles (Jeffrey Harris) which had a meta today. Then I realized that today was Friday and I had Matt’s puzzle. So, I started the year with two metas. That’s a good beginning!

Beam me up!

This week, I can actually understand how e.a. solved in one minute. Didn't do it myself, but I see what I should have done. (And I didn't start anywhere near noon, but that's another matter.)

I don't see how they could have gotten it in one minute... but hey I'm not in it for the speed, I'm in it for the glory lol.

I get an email every day with Daily Crossword Links and it was listed in there as Jeffrey’s Jottings. If you can’t find it message me an email address and I will forward today’s email which contains the link. The puzzles cost $2/mth and I got a year’s worth of enjoyment out of the first one.

and best hopes that 2021 won't need much 26A to make it better than 2020.

agree, 44D. One of my co-workers actually has that as his license plate.

Go to patreon. Type Jeffrey Harris into the "search for creators" box and the first result says "puzzles". I just handed this guy TWO WHOLE DOLLARS based on oldjudge's post, so hopes are high!

e.a. is Erik Agard, who often makes a not-so-wild guess as soon as the prompt is posted. In this case it's New Year's Day and the prompt asks for an animal... so I am definitely not at a loss.

Ah, I as usual didn't put two and two together.
