I don't think a spreadsheet is needed for this Week 1 MGWCC. However, going forward, if you would like to have the link to future MGWCC spreadsheets PMed to you (within an hour of them being posted), send me a PM.

I haven't kept track of those MGWCC subscribers who've requested in the past, so remind me in a new PM, please.

Best luck solving & Happy New Year!

Considering that only one clue -- the one in the usual spot -- was needed to get the answer, the fun part was seeing the weird phrases and clues for them that Matt would come up with. But trying to be in the top ten or twenty or whatever is sort of like being the seventh caller in those radio give-aways.

I rarely get to the puzzle right when it comes out. Usually out doing errands, so I don't pay attention to what number I land on, I'm just glad to have landed!

Submitted and awaiting confirmation (plus that sweet [10] for the first time ever if successful).

Also loved the shoutout to start the puzzle. KC and 1A have been my home(s) for the majority of my time on this earth. Happy New Year, all (and go Chiefs)!

Edit: beam me up!

Beamed up. Probably the easiest (for me) puzzle yet. Agreed that it was guessable very quickly and that the reason to complete the grid was to see the clever long answers!
