As I go to bed Friday night, only 34 on the board ?!?
I guess predicting the difficulty level is an inexact science at best.

Awaiting confirmation. I have mixed feelings about the process on this one.
And we are confirmed.

I’d sign on, but I’m stuck on some abstruse puzzle about bouncing balls.

Stuck where everyone else is. Printing out another grid and starting over, not that that EVER works, but hope springs eternal...

I, too, have the first step. But not a clue as to what I should do with it.
Happy to give nudges. If you notice I've solved, please tell me about avenues you've explored so I can nudge you in the right direction and not off a cliff.

I have two first steps. Obviously that's not right, but the two sets are related to the title. I just can't figure out how they're related to each other.

I have about one and a half steps. I'm as sure as I ever am about the first step, but that half step... might be in the wrong direction. Will continue to

I got it! Leaderboard hasn't updated yet, but it was a 100% click for me. I'd been stuck at the first step since last night, like several other posters, chasing many rabbit holes, until a walk to the grocery store suddenly gave me a new idea, and upon my return it actually worked, whew! Sometimes persistence pays off.

Ditto. And stuck.
Same.
Fourth this.

Looking forward to the weird dreams I always have when stuck on a meta, in which I stumble upon a completely obvious solution ... that is in no way workable once I wake up.
No weird or helpful dreams, but meta solved within minutes of a second look today with fresh eyes. I'm with MajordomoTom – you can do this!

If anyone’s willing to PM I’d love to discuss. I think I’m stuck in some of those rabbit holes everyone mentioned.

Dang, I was sooooo sure I had this one. I had a perfect mechanism that fit the puzzle title and was tricky but not too tricky (i.e. could easily have been a week 3) but I get such gobbledygook for an answer I know it isn't correct. I mean if you cannot say the word how can it be an answer. Sigh...looks like I'll be 0 for two this week-end.
NUDGES!I am always willing to give nudges where needed; metas should be about fun, not frustration. Send me what you have done so far because often you are closer than you think!
