Finally decided to jump on board with the Gaffney weekly crossword in addition to the WSJ. I should retire after this puzzle and say I have never gotten a MGWCC week 4 puzzle wrong!

The Week 3 was a Week 5 and the Week 4 was a Week 3. Or so.

Energize.

* “Blue bull” in Indian dialect.

* Mature male can weigh 700 pounds.

* 15,000 in the wild in Texas.

* Meat is marketed as “South Texas Antelope”.
This refers to the WSJ Friday contest. I was trying to figure out how this could be true.

No problem. Still fun information. Just another puzzle to figure out where it belonged!

Solved in full as well and submitted - will wait to see if my name appears. This was my second puzzle for the MGWCC and seemed a lot easier than my first try last week!

Went way, way down the wrong rabbit hole for a while, but got it now.

I remain baffled by 65A. I have all the letters. I just don't see how it's answer to the clue.

@BL PM me if you remain at sea about 65A

Stay well all!!

Once again, after submission, I waited for an update on the leaderboard but my name has not appeared near the bottom after an update. Oh well, another learning experience. I shall wait for the enlightenment.

42A - Yum! Now I'm hungry. Hope that's in the replicator database; beam me up and I'll go see.

I did this the hard way. The actual answer (assuming I'm right) is nice and clear. But there were some other paths that looked so promising that it was hard to give them up, even when they kept leading to gibberish instead of a proper noun.

I don't see your name under the "Overall" tab. Are you using a different screen name there? If you're not on that Overall list, Matt hasn't processed your submission yet. Either it will come with the next update or it was lost in cyberspace.

If you're sure he's updated since you submitted and you're not on that Overall list, you could try submitting again or send him an email at crosswordcontest@gmail.com

Beam me up! Being stricter with myself about asking for nudges and choosing to sleep on it instead which paid off this week.
