Week 3 of 4. NOTE: due to the late post, this week’s contest deadline is noon ET on Wednesday, August 25th.

This week’s contest answer is a well-known TV show.

Right in my wheelhouse - NOT - unless it is from the 50's or 60's

From someone who has never watched the Simpsons, Survivor, or any other TV show that my daughter asks me about

It is pretty telling that the longest active streak so far is 8 weeks. If I had had any sort of sizable streak going, I likely would have slept on my answer.
I'm not anticipating a ton a love for this one post-deadline...

EDIT: There was more confirmation than I initially saw so I take this back...
Very nice puzzle now that I take a second look

@Dannyvee - I have found out that the streaks, etc. posted only show those who have correctly submitted this week. As the pros get the answer, the list will change a lot.

That's what I'm implying-- the people with longer streaks are likely waiting to submit.

You said that last week, and I thought SHARP AS A TACK was Week 3.5, so this might be a Week 5 or 6 for me, hahaha.

Beam up requested!

Much as I hate to tempt fate by commenting before I actually see my name in pixels, I'd call this an absolute solid no-doubter. And I suspect the absence of many super-solvers so far is more due to their being busy competing in Lollapuzzoola (or with whatever they do on Saturdays) than uncertainty.

Was doing my normal Saturday stuff and actually forgot Gaffney was coming out. So after watching the Vuelta, went out on my own bike ride for a few hours. Saw Gaffney's e-mail after the fact. Oh well....

Solved and submitted (and confirmed on the leaderboard)

Submitted and crossing my fingers. Seems like it has to be right, though. Very cool mechanism this week.

ETA - confirmed and my highest spot yet.

Never saw the TV show. Oh so many rabbit holes and meaningless coincidences. Never would have seen this one without a hint. Elegant only in retrospect.

I've been poking at this in between hurricane prep, and I'm popping in to say that is an excellent pup you got there.
