Like so many others here, I'm on shore ... I think.

So now, I'm in such suspense about the answer, I need to get SERIOUS about my drinking choice.

Question: "Cocktail, sir?"

I have a four-word phrase to share: My, my, oh my! On shore with absolute confidence. This was a fun one but not easy — had Brett not noticed something seemingly coincidental, we wouldn’t have had a starting point. Even with that, it was a team effort. How people solve these on their own, I’ll never know!

Ashore, but less than 90% sure ("90% ashore?")

We are on a shore. I would say 80% confident that we are on the correct shore.

Found some additional confirmation, so I'm counting myself ashore.

I saw the mechanism right away (unusual for me), but my answer seems a little gooey. Will have to think about it some more but counting my self ashore!

Ashore and hoping we're on the right beach. There appears to be a nice party going on down the way. Thank you Matt for the fun.

On shore. Is there a place to buy tee-shirts within walking distance of the bar?
Edit: Also spot a clincher, though it could just be the booze.

Just an artifact of the camera, sorry to say.
I have to disagree, Wendy — if I’m not mistaken, that’s a lookout raccoon hiding in the grass making sure the barn cat doesn’t pull any mischief. He’s camouflaged and ready to spring into action should the need arise!
I wish I could post the videos! Seconds after that first image was made, Scruffy hightailed it off to the left. The raccoons always try to gang up on her, but she outsmarts them by beating them to the dish of kibble that I put out. Here are five of the bullies from the other night -- one is taking advantage of the VIP mezzanine seating and four (yes, four!) are scarfing down the seed falling from above.

Can’t wait to get home and start the puzzle. Errands today made for a delayed start.

I now strongly suspect that my answer is wrong (though possibly justifiable). I prefer the other answer I've heard from a couple of other Muggles, who, like me, have already submitted. If I had thought of this other answer, it's the one I would have gone with.

Still, I enjoyed the puzzle, and I'm happy at least to have rooted out the mechanism.

On the beach, sipping a cool beverage. Took a little longer to figure out the steps this time, but finally got there.

Here's the thing... We have been conditioned to be given all of it. This puzzle gives you 100% of some of it.
Kudos to those who took the leap. I did!

to the muggles on the beach, could someone PM me please?

I have a solid answer, it fits the pieces I've collected, but I'm missing the last two percent to be happy with it. I just need a sounding board.

TIA,
Tom

because I have a path that could possibly confirm one of the answers over the other that I have ... (yes, that's a teaser).

EDIT #2 - submitted, on the shore, hoping the force is with me.

On shore. Like many others, I took a leap and am hoping it was in the right direction. A dark and stormy sounds good right about now.
