The title to this week's contest is "This, That and The Other Thing" by matt Gaffney

The answer to this week's contest crossword is a four-word phrase.

Good luck with the grid and the meta

Hello, Muggles! It's Taylor Nakagawa again from WSJ. Our contest course is slowly coming together and I'd like to share an update. A few weeks ago, I received an email from a fellow Muggle who shared a document of tips from the community on solving meta puzzles. You can find those tips here: viewtopic.php?f=18&t=49

The WSJ puzzles team thought these tips would make a great appendix to the course and we'd like to include some of your voices and photos in there as well.

Here are some questions that we put together. If you'd to be featured in the contest course, please send me your answers via email. We're also looking for a photo of you filling out the WSJ crossword. My email is taylor.nakagawa@wsj.com

- Take a look at the tips compiled by Bob and Tina in the link above. What's the most useful tip they shared? Is there a tip that you use when solving every contest puzzle?

- How long have you been doing the contest puzzles? I'd love to hear any stories or "ah-ha" moments you've had uncovering meta answers.

- What makes the WSJ crossword unique? Why do you keep coming back to our contest puzzles?

- Where are you located? City/town and state, please!

Thank you so much, and I look forward to hearing from you all!

If you all could send me your responses and a photo by the end of next week (4/30) that would be great.

Thanks,
Taylor

Well I sent in the one that I think best fits. Is it right? The waiting begins... I'll have a Guinness in the meantime.

I think I have it but need additional confirmation.

EDIT: I'll call myself on shore but unsatisfied. Maybe a Manhattan will help. Only one way to find out...

Similar experience to just about everyone else on the board. Really like the puzzle but either missing something or the last step just doesn't have as strong a click as usual.

On shore.
Originally had some doubt like others above, but I have convinced myself enough to submit.
Have a great weekend everyone!

In the same boat (or shore) as others. I like my answer, but it's not a lock.

One of the easier grids for me but getting no where with the meta.

Actually somewhere which is leading to nowhere.

:desert_island: Got it. I think. Like many others, not quite 100%, and after my Utterly Numbskull Idiotic Terrible Entry in last month's MMMM, I am going to use my brain (for once!) and count to ten. Or maybe ten-thousand. Before submitting.

Feeling good enough to not sweat this one all weekend and instead enjoy my time on shore.

Stay well!
