Currently explaining my newfound dislike of parentheses to Isaac. Assume I have the rest, although one wobbly bit.

Well, I am aMOng those whose hearts saNK when they saw those blasted PARentheses (with those darn numbers inside). I have a pretty long solve streak at stAKE! Will I lET my irrational fear of numbers be my undoing (if I wanted numbers, I would be playing sudoku).

Ashore - good mechanism. Had the answer halfway through working the meta, but the OCD in me forced me to put everything in place before submitting. But then the submission function wasn’t working, so I had to email it in.

I'm finally on the beach! I blame the brain atrophy from my (oof) five hours of meetings today for how it took me to see the path... Nice puzzle!

I've run into this before; you have to be careful about what you submit through the website. (Email is a perfectly good alternative though.)

Ashore! (Much to my surprise, actually; I was drifting aimlessly when a freak wave came along and pushed me in the right direction.)

I hope this isn’t too spoilerly to ask but Google tells me a swap meet is like a flea market. Is that right?

The good news is that I got my second vaccine today. 🤗
Bad news is that I can’t keep my eyes open long enough to finish the grid. I’m sure I will be in fine shape soon, so will revisit tomorrow or Saturday. By the way, I accidentally wrote Satisfy instead or Saturday. Good night all.

No meta yet, but the latest dispatch from the younger daughter, reporting from the urban wilds of Chicago. Sometimes we all need a different perspective...
