Found the mechanism, now just to execute . . . hoping I get time to finish before noon (MGWCC)!

Update: There was more to this than I originally saw. Great AHA moment, and very cleverly constructed! Happy to join the crowd at the tiki bar.

Made it to shore...lots of rabbit trails to make it past however. I think the clue writer was being intentionally cruel (and I'm guessing it involved some sneaky edits by Mike Shenk).

Interwebbed for "Brandi Kirkland Light" and found THIS, which is every bit as good as the fantastic video.

Yeah, I got nothin'. Have a feeling it's going to be a long weekend staring at Isaac. Hope I don't freak him out.

Was fishing yesterday, so got a late start. Am happily ashore now - both literally and figuratively!

I think I'll have a mimosa this morning!

Beat you by 3 minutes. It only took me 5 hours & 4 minutes to fill the grid!

Good morning muggles

Good news and bad news

The good news is that we have two new muggles - jimmyd and boneskull. And we have 13 on the ship and 81 on the shore. A clever contest by Patrick Berry.

The bad news is that we have over 2 inches of snow on the ground, it is 28 degrees and predicted to continue for the next 18 hours.

Ashore! For once I did not allow the dreaded numbers in parentheses to defeat me. What a great AHA moment!

Why is it that those numbers in the clues scare the heck out of me? Grid is done but I am waiting for the aha moment.

Ay caramba, the Flying Burrito took the chopper from the cruise but too much fog so far to find la playa. Grid esta muy facil, but those parentheses froze me like my calculus tests in HS

It was the week they had the bonus puzzle! The data label doesn’t show, too smushed together. I got the normal puzzle then immediately tanked the bonus. 🙃
