Trying to relate the title to what I see in the grid. So far circuits malfunctioning! Could be an Isaac weekend.....

Ugh. Finally solved, but much harder for me than last week. Didn't help that while filling in the grid another solution came to mind, and there was a clue elsewhere in the grid that supported this wrong answer. I will post Monday what that other answer was. No way it could be correct (too inelegant), but I wonder if Mr. Shenk was aware of these false leads when making the puzzle?

Good Saturday morning

From the ship's bar I can see the growing crowd on the shore however there is a dense fog in my brain causing me to drink what little there is left in the ship's bar. Isaac has shipped all the Guinness to the shore for Al and company while Bunny stole all the pretzels. I need to get answers before the hockey game starts.

So far there are 60 on the shore and 7 of us keeping Isaac in business.

With me on the ship are
Kay
Jennifer
Sheila
Guy
and Howard

Also if you want to see something look at the time difference between when Brian opened this thread and when Al posted that he had popped open his first Guinness.
With Al on the shore are

Hey, Bob. Sorry to miss the check in. But wonderful to be spending time with you, Isaac, and the rest of the clueless Muggles. Never solved last week and, despite feeling as if I'm on the right track, feel like I really don't have a clue and that I am wasting my time. Sigh. Let's all pray for no tariffs or the Tequila could set us back quite a bit!!!

Bob - I think you may have inadvertently insulted the real Tom Wilson!

BTW, has anyone noticed that MUGGLES is just on letter change (G>S) away from an anagram for MUGLESS? I'd say it was by design were it not a bit "inelegant."

I'll be watching the Bruins game from Isaac's. Maybe more alt-bier will work this week.

On shore. I've solved every puzzle from April & May!

I wasted some time chasing rabbit holes that I didn't think could be a coincidence, but they were. I had a harder time than last week, but I do think this one is actually easier. I like this week's solve method better, but the grid was extremely difficult for me. I had to look up many answers.

Popping in. I have a fat lot of nothing, nary a cottontail to be found.

Tomorrow, I head to Turks and Caicos, where hopefully, I won't actually be lost at sea.

Now I’ll be able to watch the Champions League final in peace!

Like a couple of others, I first got a very weird term and then corrected it to be rewarded with a ride to shore. Easy metas or not, these puzzles still astound me.

I'm lost. Nary a shore in sight, much less the one occupied by the correct residents.

Will set it aside until morning and hope for a revelation.

The "other" Tom Wilson is far from insulted. On the contrary, he feels quite privileged to be in such company!

Fun puzzle, though this style is becoming familiar. As in: knowing what to look for.

I don’t see anything obvious; perhaps it’s time to study some old puzzles. I’m still on the boat.
