ASHORE! A nice easy one while we await the MGWCC.

A HUGE thanks to Brian McDonald. Knowing how difficult it is to keep up with even just posting and answering I cannot imagine the amount of time he spends on maintaining this site.

Obviously his image should be given the veneration it deserves:

Think I had the Meta before the grid. Expecting a crowded beach.

Yay, thanks much to Brian for restoring order. Only been on here a short time, but definitely felt the absence. Been onshore for about 7 hours. Surprised I can still type straight, since the bar was not broken.

It's a shame that the only way for me to get on page one is for the forum to have been down for a few days. Anyhow, I am on shore with a fairly quick swim. In all seriousness, though, Thank you, Brian for getting us back up and for starting the forum in the first place!! It was a rough few days while it was down.
Edited to add: Well, when I started typing, I was still on page one...

DANG! I came to this page and there were only about 5 posts, while writing my "Ashore" (along with its art work) I managed to get off the 1st page. He who hesitates is second....

So...this was me waiting for our beloved Muggles site to return - luckily I had my mittens, it was a chilly 72 in Florida today!

Posted on the WSJ page but will repost here. On shore; grid much tougher than meta. Thanks to Brian and whoever else got us back up and running.

On shore, extremely early for me. Some googling required. Happily reminded of our visit to the unique 55A in 2018, add it to your post-pandemic bucket list.

Marion and I are comfortably on shore - toes up! We rowed in separate canoes this week and got there about the same time - I'll give her a nose ahead at the wire but we're both warm and dry!

Good Luck.........

Count me ashore too! The mechanism was the first thing I tried.

Ashore. Learned quite a bit through the grid. Very educational.

To all those who helped restore the site, thank you! I’d give you all a tweak of the cheek if I could. I missed it. I really did! ☺️
