Oh! I just got it! I’m definitely ashore. Fun mechanism that makes it click.

That is exactly how I got the answer!
Good luck, fellow Muggles!

Count me ashore. Seemed easy, but awkward?! Looking up a recipe for Male Chauvinist Chili (thanks, Beth!) to go with my Ommegang Rosetta.

I am surprised to find myself ashore this side of happy hour. I guess I'll have a Topo Chico and lime.

It was in my spiral-bound Rival Crockpot Cookbook, but this looks like it — https://www.food.com/recipe/male-chauvi ... pot-135328

I can really relate to the recent comments about scheduling meetings and appointments so as not to interfere with Meta Time. I do that, too. I also do meal planning around it. I like to cook, but on Thursdays, we have reheated leftovers, something that I can prepare in advance, or prep in advance and cook quickly. Today it’s Male Chauvinist Chili 🌶 in the crockpot! I guess the funny name is because it has 3 kinds of meat - bacon, ground beef, and hot Italian sausage!
I see that the Beth mind meld was in full force today

I wouldn’t call this a spoiler. I’m glad you wrote it, because it instantly did the trick!

On shore and pretty sure it's the same shore as those that 'think' they are on the right one. It is a Gaffney meta after all! Definitely waiting until Sunday evening or better confirmation to submit.

I had a bit of hesitation about submitting, then realized there is a definite click here.

I see that I'm not alone in feeling as if I have the answer but not being completely sold on it. I'll ponder a while longer before I submit, but first, I need to reprovision the larder and make myself a Thursday evening cocktail!

Solved, but not immediately. I stepped away from the puzzle and was musing about it when the answer presented itself in my mind's eye.

Edit: kinda like ky-mike's suggestion to write things down, but I was muttering parts of the puzzle to myself in the bathroom mirror.

I think I have an answer but it doesn't seem 100% to me.
With me, it is usually all or nothing. Lately a lot of nothing.

Ashore with a solution which is defensible but not watertight
