I got a shove towards the shore by a friendly muggle.

On shore with a family favorite as the meta! Liked the creative construction on this one.

I wasn't careful so I was baffled for a while, but now I have it.

Just finished the grid. Too late to work on the meta.

I am a 'synonym' of beached! Fun meta.
On a different note (plink), I read about the results of the NYT Mega puzzle yesterday. Congrats to the winners - are any of them in this group? (Apologies if this has been covered already).
Cheers,

After a late start and some initial head-scratching, I am now safely on shore.

Well, I can confirm that submitting via the website does work, since I managed to win a mug that way last year. From a previous posting on this thread, apparently it works via email as well, so both are okay.damefox wrote: ↑Thu Jan 14, 2021 9:59 pmI started emailing in my answer because I was growing skeptical they looked at the form submissions on the site! I often wish they would send an automated confirmation email after you submit so that when I don't win the mug for the umpteenth time I'll know it at least wasn't because my submission didn't go through.
