LOL - does that mean that you shout GOAT when you see the Patriots game? (if you are not into football, Tom Brady has been called the Greatest Of All Time.
Even as a rabid Cowboys fan, I have to add "...and rightly so."
Not for nor against the Patriots, but agree & will add Bill Belichick as GOAT, possibly GOATer.
Reluctantly but wholeheartedly agree.

A very diverse zoo of incorrect answers including 8 orangutans (one solver noted that ORANG is sort-of not-quite hiding backwards in HUNG AROUND), 7 rams (?), 4 monkeys, 5 pigs (plus 2 Petunia Pigs and one Porky Pig), 3 elephants, and sundry others.

Congrats to this week's winner: Oma Schrag of Colorado Springs, Colo.!
RAM appears in the grid twice, hidden inside of ABRAM and RAMA. I spent a lot of time searching the grid and that was one of the things I found. I thought it was interesting given the title, but knew it wasn't the solution.
In addition, ABRAM was 35 across and RAMA was 53 down. (35...53) Seemed kind of, “meh”, but I ended up being one of the Rams.

Afternoons on every Thursday
Notebook open, pencils near,
Click the link, refresh a few times…
Yes! The Contest Puzzle’s here!

Check the title! Who’s the author?
What’s the thing we’re looking for?
Clock is ticking, nothing’s clicking,
Occam’s Razor or KAS 4?

Chasing rabbits, diving rashly;
Warrens deep as War and Peace.
Highlight words! Check for diag’nals!
Will this torture never cease??

Then, a spark; a whim, a notion…
What if…yes! And there again!
Concatenate, corroborate,
Check for “Pageant,” then click “send”!

On the shore of Aha Island
Past the blue of Muggles’ Bay,
Beat the grasp of Isaac’s blender…
“Nothing, sir, for me today.”
Hey Al Sisti (what a great name!):

By the above evidence, we know you are a poet (Occum's Razor, no less), a guitarist (a doubt that is just a prop), a singer (likely), and your photo suggests you may have obtained your chops in the 70s when there was a proliferation of singer-songwriters who generally recorded, as well. They tell me these projects often take time. But hey, this is 2019.
Not to rush you, but since you've whet the collective aural appetites of the muggle nation, I volunteer to ask for an update: ... have you scored music and recorded the theme song yet?

Yours truly,
emmaa 8-)

Well, I have written a few poems and songs, and I do play bass in 4 bands, and we have recorded a few CDs (and vinyl, in the 80s), so you read the evidence correctly. My chops actually started earlier than the 70s though. I got my first guitar in 1960, pre-Beatlemania; the Everly Brothers being the big thing in music at the time. But putting this one to music? Man, I wish I had the time. I retired 5 years ago today, and haven't rested since. Thanks very much for the kind words and thoughts!
