Happy August Muggles
This week's contest is by Matt Gaffney titled Chain Gang.

The answer to this week's contest crossword is an American Fast-Food chain

And my avatar was seen at a restaurant in Portsmouth this noon and after last week's contest and the weather seemed appropriate

On shore for sure. Time to make pina coladas to help beat the heat.

Got it! Actually guessed the meta before finishing the grid. Nice one, Matt.
Good luck, fellow Muggles!

Done and Done. My apologies to Isaac; I will have to treat him well at Christmas!

On the beach with a glass of wine. I found the grid a bit challenging!

I also found the grid harder than the meta. Clever though. Happy to be onshore.

Same here. Fun meta with somewhat challenging parts to the grid.

Guinness for me this week, too!

Ashore way too soon. I barely had time to wave at Isaac as I departed the ship.

Add me to the list of those who found the grid more challenging than the meta. On shore with many more muggles to follow.

I think this meta will be well liked. The grid was made more challenging by a couple of incorrect guesses.
